" ATMOS CLOCKS "

Setup and operation:

NEVER move or shift the ATMOS Clock before locking the balance wheel with the locking lever ( A ) beneath the dial.

1/ POSITIONING:

Place the ATMOS Clock on a mantel-piece or a piece of furniture which is level and sturdy.

2/ HOW TO START AND STOP:

To start, push the locking lever ( A ) beneath the dial slowly and completely, from right to left. This starts the balance wheel oscillating slowly. NEVER TOUCH THE BALANCE WHEEL ( B ). To stop and lock balance wheel, push the locking lever ( A ) beneath the dial slowly and completely, from left to right. Never leave the locking lever in a "dead-center" position.

3/ HOW TO LEVEL:

ATMOS Clock must always be perfectly level to assure accurate timekeeping. First, put the clock in the place where it will remain - then start the movement, as described in Paragraph 2. The clock is level when the pointed brass pin ( C ), on the bottom of the balance wheel, points directly down to the blue dot ( D ), on the base-plate of the clock. To adjust for true level - while the balance wheel is oscillating slowly - turn each of the two thumbscrews ( E ) ( E ), on the base of the clock. Turn them alternately until the pin is centered over the blue dot.

4/ HOW TO SET:

Push the minute hand with your finger clock-wise. NEVER PUSH THE HOUR HAND.

5/ HOW TO REGULATE:

On the top of the clock is a pointed lever which can be set over gradations from "S" (Slow) to "F" (Fast). Allow your clock to run one week without setting, then regulate as necessary.

DON'T touch the balance wheel or the clock mechanism.
DON'T touch the hour hand. Set the clock by moving minute hand only.
DON'T move or shift the ATMOS Clock before stopping and locking the balance wheel with the locking lever.
